Printer Gibberish
My printer is printing gibberish and wingdings, what do I do.
Almost universally, the answer to this one is to clear the print cache and restart the computer.
This problem usually begins with a printer malfunction of some type - like a paper jam or such.
Usually the user doesn't realize that the windows operating system puts print jobs in a queue and they
will stay there until they are completed. Sometimes, the process of experiencing a malfunction
and reasarting the computer causes the print job to be corrupted and teh header information gets lost.
When this happens, you ge gibberish from the computer and turning it off, restarting the computer, just
prolongs the problem.
To cure the problem, yo need to access the printers window either through the Control Panel or
any of the many other ways. Open the printer queue by double clicking on the printer.
Delete all print jobs in the window and then restart the computer and turn the printer back on.
