Problems Printing Web Pages
When one prints out a page (s) from the screen and several words
are missing in each line in the right margin? How do you correct
this? Someone in the past has suggested default landscape versus
portrait, but i prefer portrait. Thanks..... Gary
I assume you are print web pages (this proved to be a correct assumption) – there is no easy solution to this problem as there are as many different ways to format a web page as there are Carter’s Little Liver pills – and no two people format their web pages the same. Web pages are usually designed to be looked at and not to be printed so most people don’t even think about trying to make it easy for you to print it.
One method is to copy and paste what you want to print into a Word Document. Then you can print the word document and everything will fit ion the page. Otherwise, you can just print the page you are having a problem with in landscape mode by using the File/Print menu option rather than the print button. This will give you the option to change page orientation prior to printing and not make you set the default to landscape.
Another problem you see quite often printing web pages, is that only the advert or some strange part of the page prints. This is happens when the page is formatted in frames. You can often counter this by right clicking on the part you want to print and then clicking on print from the popup menu. Another thing you can try is to select the text and again right click on it and click on print and then opt to print only the selected portion
I hope this helps!
